rere we are... already checking off the weeks into this new year! I hope your first week was as sweet and smooth as ours in the Rising Starrs After School Program.
We have a few quick updates:
*The donations of snacks, games, and cleaning products that we received last semester were amazingly helpful and welcome. Our Rising Starrs students appreciate that their hunger pains is basically non-existent during our program, which is a HUGE HELP to the fun & learning had in their classrooms. We've also maintained our wonderful relationships with our school-day teachers, by making sure we always leave our spaces "cleaner than we found it". For those supplies, THANK YOU!
--> We are now asking for help in replenishing our cleaning supplies & snacks for this semester. When you're at the store and remember to buy one extra set of wipes or crackers, we would be so grateful to have them in our program.
*All enrichments start THIS WEEK! Please look at the Roster & make note of the days and times your child is enrolled in an enrichment. We urge that your child(ren) attend all of the enrichments that he/she is enrolled.
*Relatedly, we also ask that, when possible, you try to not pick up your child until after 5pm. This is because our Program Leaders work hard to develop engaging activities every day, and your child's attendance helps to enrich their after school groups.
Here is to ALL of us building a better program for 2016!
In an effort to "humanize" the staff who spend hours with your children in our program... some of us decided to share some pictures of how we spent our Winter Break.
