Weekly Theme After spending a few days having activities looking up facts on the cool cats of the jungle or surfers of the sea, we were able to see some at the Oakland Zoo! Students were able to walk through different exhibits and discover more about their favorite animals. Our participants also learned about the definition of “community” as they worked in groups during classroom activities and cheered each other on during our sports tournament of blindfold bowling! Next week, we will not only explore what “self- expression” means, but we will also learn about discovering ourselves! Our sport tournament next Friday will be a Discus and Frisbee Distance Toss Challenge.
Thingmajig This week we became “Toy Masters” and created our own toys. Every week we use recycled materials to create new things for our Thingamajig challenge!
Week 3 Reminders Water-bottles – Please send your camper with a reusable water-bottle, especially for field trips.
Attendance – Campers must be present at least 3 times per week. If they are joining us for the week’s field trip, then they need to be present for at least 2 camp days before going on the field trip.
